Experience: Minimum 2 years post-A.A.S. degree clinical acute care experience required

License: NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist

Certifications: A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy

Must-Have: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Description: Will administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy to patients. Will institute and monitor oxygen therapy on patients. Will assist physicians in instituting and maintaining continuous ventilation. Will administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Will perform pulmonary function tests. Will perform radial arterial punctures. Able to perform the majority of patient care functions needed in the acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision. Every other weekend is required, including holidays based on the weekend schedule. Cannot accommodate block scheduling or a set schedule. Preference for candidates outside 100 miles and those with pediatric experience.
