As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilitiesCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyses, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesExecutes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingBuild secure and high-quality mobile applications using Java, MVVM, Dagger, RxJava, and KotlinPerform quality assurance and automation for identity and authenticationUtilize mobile test automation tools such as Appium for native and hybrid app testing on iOS and Android platforms, as well as leverage SauceLabs for cross-device and cross-platform cloud-based test executionDesigns, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implicationsLearns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systemsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Strong hands on experience in building secure and high-quality mobile applications using Java, MVVM, Dagger, RxJava, and KotlinExperience with mobile test automation tools such as Appium for native and hybrid app testing on iOS and Android platforms, as well as leverage SauceLabs for cross-device and cross-platform cloud-based test executionExperience working with Restful API integration using RxJava, LiveData, or State flowsExperience in Unit testing libraries like Mockito, JUnit, Gherkin scripts for UI Test Automation.Strong understanding of java and android ecosystem and mobile UI fundamentals, from layout to animationsPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with Agile development including daily scrum and weekly iteration reviews and planningAWS experienceExperience with Unit Testing frameworksExperience with Android jetpack, Kotlin CoroutinesUnderstanding of SOLID principles and architectural patterns such as MVP, MVI and MVVMExperience with data injection tools, such as Dagger, Hilt, Kotlin, etcAbout UsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
