Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for lifting foam onto and off the carousel after it is cut, and moving it to the line that will cover it in a plastic lining.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move materials efficiently and safely.
• Lift foam onto and off the carousel and transport it to the designated line for plastic lining.
• Work collaboratively with team members to handle materials and ensure production flow.
• Load and unload materials as needed.

Essential Skills

• Experience in material handling and general labor.
• Ability to lift boxes and foam, including bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Competency in reading and writing, with the ability to read measurements using a tape measure.
• 6+ months of experience in reading measurements, specifically in inches.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Spanish language proficiency is acceptable.
• Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

The work is conducted indoors, though the facility is not climate-controlled and can become very hot in the summer. The role involves working in a team atmosphere. The standard working hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
