Material Handler

Position Title: Material Handler Wage: $22.00 - $25.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday) Reached a dead end at your current job? Material Handler Responsibilities: - Handle all materials in a safe and orderly manner according to product requirements and standard operating procedures within specified time periods independently - Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, rejects, and reports defective or damaged items, records shortages accurately - Receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit - Load and unload goods from trucks manually and by use of hand trucks and/or forklift - Pull, weigh and deliver material from exact batch numbers for production with 100% accuracy - Employ inventory control methods to ensure accurate counts at all times - Record identifying product information into company database - Manage outbound shipments, including preparation of paperwork, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation to final destination with 100% accuracy Requirements for Material Handler: - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience - 1-3 years of receiving experience - 1-3 years of packing and shipping experience - Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, -and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. - Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
