Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Consistently and safely operates machines at or above standard levels of operation including waste, quality, efficiency and utilization Troubleshoot, identify and correct machine related problems through proper adjustments to various parts of the machine Provide innovative solutions for production issues Provides support and guidance to less experienced personnel Completes appropriate end of shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities Able to inspect and recognize defective product and make machine adjustments to correct cause of defects Observes all housekeeping, standard work and safety guidelines Mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills and effective communication skills - written and verbal are required Qualifications: 1+ years working in a manufacturing environment as an Extrusion Machine Operator Experience and willingness to work 12 hour rotating schedules including every other weekend Ability to show up for work prior to shift and be prepared to get the day going on time Strong problem solving and troubleshooting experience working with Extrusion Machines Excellent communication skills, detailed record keeping per the prescribed frequency Analytical and math skills Ability to perform quality checks and have an understanding of production measurement tools Knowledge of product quality standards Comfortable wearing PPE such as hairnets, beard-nets, steel-toed shoes/boots, ear protection and bump caps when required Manual dexterity Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
