Production Planner

Responsibilities Develop weekly production requirements for manufacturing operations with daily detail as the need arises by production scheduling process. Conduct weekly scheduling meeting to review previous production performance and to gain plant alignment around future production requirements. Communicate schedule changes, maintenance requirements, shut‑downs, and training needs that affect future production plans to corporate planning and logistics. Develop and communicate daily production plans to all departments and keep staff informed of any changes or updates as needed. Develop daily and weekly actual versus scheduled communication and performance reporting. Coordinate the initial production requirements for new products with QA and corporate R&D. Analyze and review the manufacturing schedule and communicate opportunities to improve the balance of cost and service among raw materials, conversion, and finished good costs. Develop concepts for the optimization of tools, operating resources, and production processes. Develop daily production plans that optimally lead labor and enable plant efficiency targets to be achieved. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field is preferred. 3+ years of manufacturing, planning and/or scheduling experience preferred. Proficient in MRP, Epicor and/or SyteLine are a plus. Statistical and spreadsheet analytical skills. Proficiency with Excel and Access. Strong knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, and customer service. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
