Sales Estimator

Location Chemung, NY, United States Other Available Locations: New Hampshire; New York; Pennsylvania Job Responsibilities The Sales Estimator’s primary responsibility is to maximize the long‑term success of Nucor by efficiently performing accurate joist & deck takeoffs to create high‑quality sales proposals, while also effectively communicating with engineers, customers, and teammates to develop value‑added solutions. This position requires a high level of collaboration with the sales team and taking ownership of day‑to‑day tasks to ensure all estimates are completed in a timely manner. The work location for this role can be in Chemung, NY, King of Prussia, PA or in Salem, NH. Compensation Starting compensation for this role ranges from $22.72 to $35.24 per hour and is eligible to earn a monthly commission based on division sold tons, and is also eligible for our annual corporate earned Profit Sharing bonus. Minimum Qualifications Basic construction experience is required (field, estimating, detailing, or related industry experience). Willingness to work extended hours beyond a standard 40 hour workweek when workload and deadlines require. AI competency is required, including the ability to learn, adopt, and leverage AI tools to support team growth and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Microsoft software, such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Working knowledge of SAP Working knowledge of detailing or estimating software.
