Trauma Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Trauma Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients recovering from traumatic injuries, ensuring their comfort and safety during their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patient vital signs and health status, identifying any significant changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatment options, and health maintenance.
• Document patient care, progress, and any changes in their condition accurately and timely.
• Assist with the preparation and transport of patients for diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Trauma Stepdown or similar unit.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Must complete necessary background screenings prior to commencement of employment.

Additional Information

Orientation for new staff will occur weekly. This position may require travel and candidates located outside a specified distance from the facility will be considered for travel arrangements.
