BACKGROUND

Gymboree Play & Music is the world’s leading parent-child interactive play, music and arts program for children ages newborn to five years. This year 2026, we celebrate 50 years of bringing play, music, arts and learning to families across the United States and around the world! Our Howell location has been here for 30 years and still going strong. Kris became the Howell owner & re-opened the Gymboree in 2014 after teaching for 5 years. Our teacher retention rate has an avg of 7 years and the position is open due to a teacher spouse relocation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Outgoing, enthusiastic, energetic, and creative Play Leader
• Facilitate parent-child interactive activities
• Gymboree classes include age appropriate play activities on our custom designed play equipment, songs, parachute play, and bubbles.
• Teach lesson plans according to Gymboree curriculum.
• Maintain site standards, including cleaning and helping with class preparation.
• NOTE: Gymboree Play & Music provides all training necessary while getting paid.

KEY SKILLS AND TRAITS

• Experience working with children newborn to 5 years preferred
• Solid group leadership skills
• Team player
• Clean, physical appearance, reliable

HOURS

Part-time available. Evenings/weekends and weekday coverage for outages.

COMPENSATION

• Starting pay is based on experience.

Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Classes are designed in increments to meet a child’s unique interests and abilities. From birth to age 6, there’s always something special awaiting you and your child at Gymboree Play & Music.
