Company Overview:
Chicken Shack is known in the Metro Detroit area as a family-owned restaurant that has been around for over 65 years. We serve fresh, hot food to the community. We train employees to be efficient and work in a caring environment. Chicken Shack is very flexible with schedules, whether you need personal time off, attend school, or even have another job. Job Summary:
We are looking for friendly individuals with the ambition to succeed. We provide training in all positions to get you on the path to a rewarding career. Whether you have experience in the food industry or not, we're always looking for motivated individuals to join our team!

Responsibilities: 
  • Prepare a variety of chicken dishes, sides, and sauces according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure that all dishes are cooked to the appropriate temperature and presented in an attractive manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment and work surfaces, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service

Requirements:
  • Strong interest in cooking and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from leadership
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
