HMB LINTEC marine is a long-established engineering and service company with our office, warehouse, and workshop all based in Buxtehude, near Hamburg. We design, build, repair, and service heavy lifting systems used in some of the most demanding environments on the planet - built to perform where others can't. Our team of around 50 colleagues works together on-site every day - tight-knit, interdisciplinary, and proud of what we build. As one of our Technical Purchasers, you will be the engine behind our supply chain - ensuring the right components, from precision mechanical parts to hydraulic systems and electronic installations, reach our production floor on time and on spec. If you enjoy the craft of getting technically complex purchases across the line, this role is for you. You'll work in an international environment, alongside colleagues, suppliers, and a technically demanding and truly engaged customer base. You'll read engineering drawings, weigh up costs and alternatives, and keep our production moving. HMB LINTEC marine GmbH Customer relationship Technical expertise Identifying and evaluating domestic and international suppliers, as well as preparing requests for proposals,and negotiating and concluding supply agreements within defined parameters Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring adherence to delivery deadlines Timely and accurate reporting of purchase budgets amd out-of-budget costs Managingandcoordinating lead times, supply risks, identifying alternative sources Trackingdeliveryprocess and vendor performance to ensure efficient supply chain fromrequisition to delivery Supportingcompliancewith international standards and classification society requirements Serving as an active liaison between Engineering and Service—from needs assessment and requirements definition to ensuring compliance with specifications Evaluating material alternatives and identifying cost-saving opportunities Your profile Completed technicalorcommercial training,or equivalent qualification Atleast2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing technical materials, components andequipment Knowledgeof mechanical, hydraulic, electricand steel construction components Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships Excellent German and English (spoken and written) Strong teamworkandcommunicationskills,combinedwith the ability to work independently and take ownership Preferred Qualifications Experience in spare partsprocurement Proficiency with common ERPsystems (e.g. Odoo, SAP, or similar) Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g.Inventor, Solid Works or similar) and PDM systems is a plus, as you willwork directly with technical drawings and component specifications Additionallanguageskills, such as Polish, are welcome What we offer A permanent, full-time positionwith a competitive compensation package aligned with market standards Flexible working hours — youmanage your own schedule around our core hours, with working time recorded JobRad company bicycle scheme andon-site EV wall chargers Training opportunities tailored toyour individual development needs Free coffee and water, a sharedteam breakfast every Friday and a subsidised lunch at the canteen locatedclosely to our office offering a daily varied lunch menu A full-time position Attractive salary package.
