The Irrigation Laborer plays a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing sprinkler irrigation systems to ensure efficient water distribution. Working primarily as part of a small crew, this role involves handling various system components, preparing sites, and occasionally operating machinery. The position offers consistent year-round work within dynamic outdoor environments, emphasizing teamwork, safety, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair sprinkler irrigation systems
- Operate valves and control water flow
- Handle and lay pipes effectively
- Prepare sites for system installation
- Schedule irrigation cycles to optimize water use
- Occasionally operate machinery as required
- Collaborate closely within a small crew
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in irrigation or landscaping
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, especially sprinkler setups
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Adherence to safety standards and compliance
