The Accountant I - Site is responsible for supporting and reporting on the end to end order accuracy and costing, as well as assisting the plant controller role. This includes, but is not limited to, costing review in relation to production, inventory control process, maintenance, safety and quality. You will collaborate with the site controlling teams to ensure accurate and timely process order costs, adequate inventory levels and controls around financial procedures at the site.
Completes various analyses and provides support to SAP super user and operations staff on process order accuracy and costing.
•Review and maintain accurate SAP costing BOMs in process orders, work orders and other areas.
•Perform ad hoc order & inventory audit and analysis within the plant controlling role.
•Support site projects in financial and costing data, as needed.
•Assist in the review of purchase order activity and resolve issues related to GRNI, support of accounts payable staff in resolving issues and provide plant support on the purchase order process.
•Assist the Plant Controller in developing, implementing, and monitoring COSO framework developed internal controls.
•Assist the plant controller in completed the yearly budget and any required forecasts.
•Complete monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations on a timely basis.
•Accurately set up new Assets by closing CAPEX projects on a timely basis.
High School Diploma and 6 years’ related experience, OR Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field plus 3 years’ related experience, OR Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
•Strong Excel and other computer skills, including but not limited MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Powerpoint). Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field plus 2 years’ related experience OR Master’s degree in related field.
•Minimum one (1) year experience as a professional accountant at the level of Accountant or any comparable position.
•Experience in Dairy/Food.
•Demonstrated ability to use various analysis/audit tools/models to aid in the decision-making process.
•SAP Experience
