Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team. This position requires flexibility in scheduling based on unit needs, and includes night shifts from 1900 to 0730, totaling 36 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, administering appropriate interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in Labor & Delivery required.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  
  • Current RN license in state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor.
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course completion required.
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification or AWHONN certification required.
• Experience with EPIC: Proficiency in using EPIC software required.
