Marketing Manager, Academic Health Systems (AHS)

The Marketing Manager of Academic Health Systems at Johnson & J&J is located in Raritan, NJ. The role partners with key account management directors, strategic system leads, the field sales organization, professional education, and multiple marketing teams to create a KOL engagement model that advances J&J MedTech Surgery competitiveness in academic health systems. Responsibilities Travel up to 40% of the calendar year to execute advisory boards, society meetings, customer visits, and site visits. Collaborate with Professional Education, FSO, specialty and platform marketing, and KAM to create an enduring KOL influencer map and actionable engagement model for aligned academic health systems. Partner with cross‑functional teams to build clinical and non‑clinical KOL advisory groups, conduct routine engagements to extract insights, and inform customized account plans. Build, engage, and activate an extensive network of KOLs from priority academic health systems. Assist in deploying resources with HEMA, GSM, and other partners to drive competitive conversions. Participate in AHS core teams to provide real‑time KOL insights and execute a fail‑fast mentality to deliver results. Manage key agency relationships, including selection, relationship building, and evaluation. Participate in business planning and develop annual budget adherence. Qualifications & Requirements A bachelor’s degree is required; MBA preferred. Minimum 3 years of relevant business experience in sales/marketing, with demonstrated ability in customer selling and interaction. Experience in medical device marketing, particularly with the Ethicon product line, is required. Preferred experience with large teaching hospitals, KOLs, residents, and fellows. Knowledge of brand marketing, digital marketing, and marketing communications preferred. Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, project management, and organizational influence skills required. Leadership, relationship development, and influence management skills preferred. Must be able to work the Raritan office 3 times per week and travel up to 40% of the year. Compensation Anticipated base pay range: $102,000.00 – $177,100.00.
