Patient Access Lead

Inova is looking for a dedicated Patient Access Lead to join the team. Job Responsibilities Patient Intake, Registration & Documentation: Oversees intake operations, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and leads documentation and registration improvements. Administrative & Technology Operations: Leads process improvements and trains staff on new tools and system updates. Case Management Tasks: Monitors metrics and streamlines case management handoffs. Financial Counseling: Monitors metrics and leads financial improvement initiatives. Insurance & Contract Coordination: Leads accuracy initiatives, monitors trends, and trains staff in insurance and contract coordination. Patient Communication & Advocacy: Leads messaging initiatives, coaches staff, and promotes service equity among patients. Utilization Review Coordination: Coordinates with UR teams to reduce denials. Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other applicable federal and state regulations May perform additional duties as assigned Additional Requirements Education - High school or GED Experience - 3 Years of patient access experience About Us We are Inova, Northern Virginia’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
