About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical - Stroke Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years experience License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Experience with NIHSS and strokes is a plus. Experience with EPIC and travel experience highly preferred. Description: 5N Med/Surg Medical Stroke unit handles a diverse patient population. The daily census ranges from 26 to 28 patients. The patient care team typically includes 1 RN for every 5 to 6 patients. Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, abdominal pain, and occasional surgical overflow. Daily responsibilities include comprehensive assessments and patient education. Strong teamwork and effective communication skills are essential. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work weekends as needed are required. A commitment to high-quality patient care is expected.
