Senior Scientist - PKDM-BA

Senior Scientist position at Amgen focused on designing and executing biological and biophysical experiments to understand ADME properties of large molecule therapeutics. Lab-based role emphasizing assay and technology development for drug discovery and early development programs.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute biological and biophysical experiments to characterize ADME properties of large molecule therapeutics
- Develop and optimize assays and technologies to define mechanisms of in vivo clearance and biodistribution
- Interpret experimental data and communicate results to project team members
- Maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebook records of experimental results
- Develop and execute department strategy as PKDM project representative for drug candidate teams
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, or MD; or Master's degree with 3+ years related experience; or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years related experience
- PhD or MS in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or equivalent field
- 2+ years protein therapeutics drug discovery and development experience in biotech industry
- Expertise evaluating protein-protein interactions using modern biophysical analytical techniques
- Proficiency in protein biochemistry and cell biology techniques including assay development and optimization
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
