Infectious Disease Physician

The Infectious Disease Epidemiologist serves as a subject matter expert leading surveillance, field investigations, and outbreak responses for high-consequence public health threats across Wyoming. Key responsibilities include conducting rapid case investigations, analyzing surveillance data, coordinating with the Wyoming Public Health Laboratory, and reporting epidemiological data to the CDC. The position also directs disease response strategies for waterborne and bioterrorism threats, participates in 24/7 public health surge capacity, and maintains state web resources and Health Alert Network advisories. Key qualifications Bachelor's Degree typically in Epidemiology 1-2 years of progressive work experience in epidemiology OR 4-6 years without degree Knowledge of epidemiologic principles for surveillance of infectious diseases Knowledge of case-control studies and basic biologic principles Experience with zoonotic/vectorborne and waterborne diseases Master's degree in public health preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
