Certified Spine Surgical Technologist at TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is hiring a certified surgical spine technologist to join our fast‑paced, high‑quality team. The role involves scrubbing for spinal surgical procedures, preparing and maintaining sterile fields, managing spine‑specific instrumentation and implants, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficient case flow. The technologist supports quality improvement activities and contributes to the hospital’s commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field for spinal surgeries. Assist surgeons during decompressions, fusions, instrumentation and other spine procedures. Set up and manage spine‑specific instrumentation, implants, and equipment. Anticipate surgeon needs to ensure efficient case flow. Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesia, and vendors to support optimal outcomes. Handle, count, and document surgical instruments and supplies accurately. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program; CST certification is preferred. 1–2 years of operating room experience, preferably in a hospital setting. Experience with spine surgery (orthopedic, neuro, or instrumentation cases) strongly preferred. Familiarity with spine trays, implants, and vendor coordination.
