Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team working with the Infants and Toddlers Program in St. Mary's County, Maryland. As a Physical Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of infants and toddlers by providing physical therapy services to support their motor development and overall well-being.

Requirements: PT State Licensure in MD

Additional Details: Provide therapy to children ages 0-3 in a home-based setting as part of the Infants and Toddlers Program in St. Mary's County.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the motor development and physical abilities of infants and toddlers.
  • Develop and implement IFSPs to address identified needs and goals.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to infants and toddlers in a variety of settings, including homes and community-based settings.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and support.
  • Educate and empower families with techniques and strategies to promote motor development and improve functional abilities.
  • Monitor and document progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes.
  • Stay informed about best practices and evidence-based interventions in pediatric physical therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice physical therapy in Maryland.
  • Educator Certificate (if applicable)
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children, preferably in an early intervention or pediatric setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in pediatric physical therapy assessment, intervention, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of infants and toddlers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
