This position reports to the department's Director and receives direct shift support from designated shift leads.In this direct patient care role, you will provide crucial nursing services to patients undergoing treatment for substance use disorders and mental health conditions, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and fostering the growth of a dynamic team. Backed by TPG, one of the nation's largest private equity investors, Banyan is rapidly expanding access to high-quality, compassionate care.This is more than a nursing job, it's an opportunity to do some of the most meaningful clinical work of your career, in an environment that values your expertise and invests in your growth.As a nightshift Staff Nurse (LPN), you will:Join a mission-driven, nationally recognized organization backed by the resources and infrastructure to deliver best-in-class care at scale.Work within a full-continuum, 60-bed dual diagnosis facility from medically monitored detox through residential and PHP — giving you exposure to the full spectrum of SUD and MH treatment.Make a direct impact on patients during one of the most critical and transformative phases of their lives.Receive competitive, experience-based compensation -$42–$50/hr base, plus shift and weekend differential.Grow professionally within an organization that supports continuing education unit credits and tuition discounts.Eligible full-time team members receive comprehensive benefits including:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disability coverage401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysWellness incentives and employee assistance programs.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the medical provider in accordance with medical protocols and standards of practice.Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and required admission documentation within established timeframes.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and provide medication education as indicated.Assess patient medical needs, determine urgency, and initiate appropriate interventions, referrals, or emergency response as required.Monitor patients for psychiatric symptoms, medication effectiveness, and safety concerns, and report changes to the nursing leadership, provider, or treatment team as appropriate.Apply sound clinical judgment in crisis situations, including suicide risk assessment, de-escalation, and patient safety interventions.Accurately transcribe, document, and implement provider orders, including verbal orders when permitted.Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary team members to support integrated patient care.Communicate patient health concerns to nursing and clinical leadership and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record in accordance with licensure, accreditation, and organizational standards.Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.Support medication management and controlled substance processes in collaboration with Compliance and nursing leadership, as applicable.Maintain required certifications, training, and continuing education in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.Participate in in-service education, department meetings, and staff meetings as required.Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, adaptability, and effective teamwork in a regulated healthcare environment.Perform additional duties as assigned within scope of practice.Qualifications:An active unrestricted LPN license in ColoradoNursing degree/diploma from an accredited school of Nursing, BSN preferred.2 or more years of nursing experience is preferred.Work experience within an inpatient dual-diagnosis (SUD & MH) setting is strongly preferred.Competencies:Working knowledge of nursing standards of care for patients with mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses.Strong clinical assessment, documentation, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to maintain professionalism, objectivity, and composure in high-stress or emergency situations.Demonstrated understanding of patient confidentiality, ethical practice, and regulatory compliance requirements.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.Familiarity with KIPU EMR systemIf you're an LPN ready to sharpen your clinical edge in both detox and behavioral health — and do it in a role where your work genuinely changes lives — we want to hear from you.
