Applied AI Engineer - Pre-Sales

Salary: $190,000 - 300,000 per year Requirements:

• We seek a B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Math/Statistics, or equivalent practical experience.
• We value 8+ years of client-facing technical experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or applied AI, including discovery, scoping, demos, proof-of-value work, and RFP responses.
• We look for hands-on Python experience and familiarity with the modern GenAI stack, including LLM ecosystems, RAG, vector databases, data processing, synthetic dataset curation, evaluation workflows, orchestration, and agent-building tools.
• We need expertise across the predictive ML stack, including classical machine learning tools such as scikit-learn and data frameworks such as pandas and Spark.
• We prefer candidates who can rapidly build prototypes in fast-moving environments, including ML solutions, RAG systems, prompt-driven workflows, fine-tuned models, and agentic systems.
• We need the ability to turn ambiguous business problems into testable technical approaches and measurable success criteria.
• We value strong presentation and narrative skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences credibly.
• We prefer experience estimating scope and creating technical content for proposals and Statements of Work.
• We require willingness to travel up to 25% annually.

• We partner closely with Sales and our AI Solution Practice Leaders to shape technical strategy across active opportunities, win technical evaluations, and ensure a smooth transition to post-sales delivery.
• We lead structured technical discovery with prospects to understand business goals, success metrics, data environment, architectural limits, security needs, and organizational readiness.
• We translate discovery insights into well-defined GenAI solution architectures that show technical feasibility and business value using our internal frameworks and complementary third-party technologies.
• We design, build, and deliver customized demos, including evaluation pipelines, dataset strategies, retrieval-augmented generation systems, fine-tuning workflows, prompt engineering approaches, and agentic architectures tailored to customer use cases and senior stakeholders.
• We draft and contribute to custom proposals, including Statements of Work and RFP/RFI responses, with clear scope, sound architecture, realistic effort estimates, and alignment to delivery capability.
• We capture reusable patterns from bespoke demos and evolve them into reference architectures, demo assets, benchmarks, and internal solution playbooks.
