Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a General Surgery Nurse!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team providing exceptional general surgery services focused on:
- Abdominal organs
- Soft tissue masses
- Traumatic injuries

- As part of our team, you'll be at the forefront of urgent and emergent surgeries, such as:
- Appendectomy
- Bowel obstruction relief
- Complex laceration repairs

- Engage in a variety of commonly performed surgical procedures:
- Colonoscopy
- Upper GI Endoscopy
- Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal)
- Soft Tissue Mass Excision (lipomas, cysts)
- Hernia Repairs (inguinal, umbilical, incisional - open and laparoscopic)
- Excisional Biopsies & Hemorrhoid Procedures
- Oncologic Surgery for breast or colon cancer
- Antireflux Surgery
- Skin Grafting

- Enjoy a structured work schedule:
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Thursday; Additional hours from call
- Required on-call availability: 10 shifts per month including one weekend (Friday to Sunday)

- Must work two blocks during peak holiday seasons:
- Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve through New Year's Day

Requirements:


- Minimum 2+ years of current OR experience in a hospital setting
- Strong experience as a Circulator with Ortho proficiency
- 3 months of travel experience (or more)
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must possess a valid Vermont RN license or a Compact License
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Own vehicle required for assignment
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application (up to 5 days accepted)

- Supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment
- Traveler's permanent address must be included in the profile
