CNC Machinist - Multiple Shifts Available

Job Title

Our high-performance solutions are engineered to operate in the most extreme environments and meet precise mission requirements.

Schedule

Multiple shifts available:

• 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 5:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.
• 2nd shift: Saturday - Monday 5:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. (Fridays are optional)
• 1st shift: Saturday - Monday 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Fridays are optional)

Responsibilities

• Operates CNC machines to manufacture parts efficiently and accurately.
• Coordinates with management to prioritize machine scheduling and support production flow.
• Collaborates with NC programmers to plan and execute set-ups that minimize manufacturing time.
• Maintains AS9100 quality procedures and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performs routine cleaning and general maintenance of CNC machines and associated fixtures.
• Ensures tooling, cutters, and fixtures are properly stored, prepared, and ordered as needed.
• Maintains a clean, organized work environment that supports safe and efficient operations.
• Reports quality or time-management concerns and improvement recommendations to management.
• Understands how failures impact customer products and incorporates quality and safety considerations into daily work.
• Performs additional related duties as required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Adequate years of CNC machine operation experience as determined by Karman.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
• Experience with Siemens 840D and Fanuc 31i-B5 controls.
• Strong blueprint interpretation skills.
• Thorough understanding of machine set-ups, tooling, and cutters.
• Ability to communicate directly with internal customers.
• Training on applicable changes and customer requirements.
• Knowledge of basic Quality Management System (QMS) reporting, record keeping, and instruction-following requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking, and sitting for at least 8 hours.
• Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs.
• Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other equipment.
• Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less; corrective lenses may be worn.
• Prolonged periods of repetitive movement.
• Constant holding, grasping, turning, or similar hand movements.
• Occasional reaching overhead, at shoulder level, and below shoulder level.
• The essential functions of this position must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
