Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients following established standards, practices, and healthcare techniques.
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor responses to treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; observe for adverse effects and report changes.
- Assist providers in direct patient care and patient education, including safety and disease management.
- Document care activities accurately in the medical record; communicate with the care team to coordinate patient care.
- Engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of care and discharge planning as appropriate.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensure: Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- Certification: Meets American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) standards; renews every two years.
- Experience: One year nursing experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines; ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal physician instructions.
- Skills: Clear and effective communication; ability to react calmly during emergencies; strong clinical judgment and prioritization in a fast-paced clinic/hospital setting.
