Northrop Grumman Corporation is looking to hire a Dimension Control Technician (DCT) Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Iuka, MS where technology and teamwork come together.

The Dimension Control Technician Level 3/4 will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of jigs and fixtures used in the manufacturing process of aerospace components. They play a crucial role in ensuring that parts are produced with the highest level of precision and quality, as well as meeting customer specifications and industry standards. Technician's responsibilities will include laying out, fabricating and assembling a variety of standard and nonstandard major jigs, fixtures, tool masters, master tooling gauges, and related tooling involving compound angles and complex contours where the establishment and coordination to exacting tolerances of numerous tooling holes and reference points between several planes are required. Plans work to be performed and determines methods and sequence of operations working from tool design drawings or own designs. Sets up and operates optical instruments to check overall and detailed alignment, fit, or adjustment of assemblies. Develops and designs holding devices and jig and fixture details. Prepares operational sequences and shop drawings covering parts fabrication and assembly to be performed by others. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 4 years of experience in tool building and/or laser tracking and/or machinist experience and/or welding and/or repair work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) per company and business needs.
• Experience with assorted Computer-Aided Measurement Systems (C.A.M.S.) and/or Laser Tracking Interferometer or non-Interferometer Systems (FARO-LEICA-API);
• Experience with multiple computer aided metrology systems such as laser trackers, articulated arms, scanners 6DoF (Six Degree of Freedom) etc.
• Experience with computer aided graphic interfaces (Verisurf X, SA and Maya matrix, Build!IT, Polyworks).
• Experience in data collection for the Validation/Verification of Tooling and Production Engineering. Coordination with Manufacturing. Engineering, Quality, and Tool Design to interpret, analyze, and advise on the data results.
• Experience in Microsoft Office suite.

Dimension Control Tech Level 4:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent with 6 years of experience in tool building and/or laser tracking and/or machinist experience and/or welding and/or repair work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (PAR) per company and business needs.
• Experience with assorted Computer-Aided Measurement Systems (C.A.M.S.) and/or Laser Tracking Interferometer or non-Interferometer Systems (FARO-LEICA-API);
• Experience with multiple computer aided metrology systems such as laser trackers, articulated arms, scanners 6DoF (Six Degree of Freedom) etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with inspection, maintenance/repair, testing and optical and mechanical alignment/adjustment of laser modules and laser tracking systems.
• Experience with calibration/compensation of instrument to ensure quality measurements.
• Experience with computer aided graphic interfaces (Verisurf X, SA and Maya matrix, Build!IT, Polyworks).
• Experience in data collection for the Validation/Verification of Tooling and Production Engineering. Coordination with Manufacturing. Engineering, Quality, and Tool Design to interpret, analyze, and advise on the data results.
• Experience with assembly tooling and/or composite tooling.
• Knowledge of Theodolite systems, Photogrammetric laser radar systems, laser scanning systems and articulating arms.
• Ability to communicate/interface with multiple levels, such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Tool Design to interpret, analyze, and advise on the data results.
• Experience in 3D modeling systems (CATIA UG, V5, R22).
• Experience in reverse engineering and model building from collected data
• Active U.S. Government Clearance
• Active Special Program Access (PAR)

Primary Level Salary Range: $59,400.00 - $99,000.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $117,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
