Information Technology ManagerThe Information Technology Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the company, working closely with a team to assess and address user and company needs. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems and telecommunications activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and wide efforts to improve the effective use of technology.ResponsibilitiesManage the deployment, support, maintenance of all IT systems, servers, security solutions, network hardware equipment, PCs, operating systems, telephones and software applicationsProvide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenanceManage IT staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresVerifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented as requiredCompletes projects by coordinating resources and executing the Project Plans within budgetResponsible for creating and administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisisDetermine the rationale and methods for upgrading company network software programs each time an update is releasedEnsure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgradesOversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support servicesKeep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirementsAccomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements;
