Material Planner Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $ 60,000.00 to $ 67,000.00 / annually
• First Shift
• Review MRP action messages in the ERP system daily and take appropriate action (release, reschedule, or cancel purchase orders and job orders) under the guidance of Master Scheduler.
• Monitor open purchase orders to track supplier promise dates and follow up on past due or at-risk deliveries.
• Maintain accurate part data in the ERP system, including lead times, safety stock, and lot sizing, as directed.
• Assist in identifying and communicating material shortages that may impact production schedules.
• Support Production and Purchasing by helping to expedite critical materials and components as needed.
• Assist with cycle counting and inventory accuracy activities to support inventory control objectives.
• Generate and review standard planning reports, dashboards, and BAQs to track open orders, shortages, and inventory status.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing on new part setup, revision changes, and engineering change orders affecting material planning.
• Maintain organized documentation to support material planning decisions and audit readiness.
• Participate in daily production and planning meetings to communicate material status.
• Additional duties assigned by manager.

Material Planner Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; Associate's degree or coursework in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory, or a related manufacturing/supply chain function; relevant internships or coursework will be considered in lieu of direct experience.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with an ERP system (Epicor preferred) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Able to work with all levels of staff.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing and supply chain concepts (MRP, lead times, safety stock) preferred; willingness to learn required.
• Overtime as required.
