Job Summary:
At Upscale Home Care, we are dedicated to empowering veterans and seniors to thrive in the comfort of their own homes. As a Full-Time Veteran Companion, you will play a vital role in delivering bespoke care that elevates the quality of life for our clients. We are seeking a compassionate and professional individual to join our team and provide dignified support to veterans in their own homes in the Avondale AZ, 85323 area.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one companionship and personal care to veterans, focusing on their unique needs and preferences
Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, with dignity and respect
Engage in conversation, play games, watch movies, or participate in hobbies to promote socialization and mental stimulation
Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication management as needed
Develop a strong rapport with clients and their families to ensure total peace of mind
Collaborate with our team of caregivers to ensure a seamless transition of care
Maintain accurate records of client care and communicate effectively with the care coordination team
Requirements:
1 year of experience working with seniors or veterans in a caregiving capacity
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
