Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Med/Surg units, ensuring safety and quality.

• Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the team.

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.

• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.

• Meet performance metrics and contribute to pipeline-based territory goals.

• Engage in continuous professional development and pursue growth opportunities.

• Participate in patient and family education to support care at home.

• Assist with care coordination and discharge planning for efficient transitions.

• Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and process improvement within unit workflows.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active RN license with Med/Surg or acute care certification

• Minimum 1–2 years Med/Surg bedside experience

• Proficient medication administration and protocol adherence

• Ability to monitor patient conditions and promptly escalate changes

• Strong documentation and EHR/charting accuracy

• Collaborative care with multidisciplinary teams

• Commitment to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

• Discharge planning and care coordination experience

• Patient and family education delivery skills

• Demonstrated initiative in process improvement and efficiency
