Payroll AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a Payroll Accountant, for a local non-profit, in Richmond, VA, for a contract opportunity with potential to become permanent. This role is 100% in office and supports the full payroll process for over 250 employees.Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce NowReview timesheets for accuracy and ensure payroll data is complete and timelyHandle payroll deductions, garnishments, tax reports, and voluntary deduction reportingPrepare payroll-related accounting transactions, reconciliations, and reportsMaintain payroll records and support audit schedules as neededWork closely with the finance and human resource teamsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred3–5 years of payroll and accounting experienceExperience with ADP Workforce Now requiredStrong reconciliation, general ledger, and Excel skillsKnowledge of payroll regulations and nonprofit accounting preferredAbility to manage confidential information with discretionIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning the payroll process while partnering with Finance and HR. This is a great opportunity for a payroll professional with strong accounting skills who enjoys working in a mission-driven environment.Pay & Schedule:Contract pay: $25–$28 per hourSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.Work environment: 100% in officeBackground check and drug screening required
