Position Overview TEAM is seeking an entry-level individual with mechanical aptitude, good grasp of math, safety focus, and strong work ethic to pursue a career as a Field Machinist. The role includes continuous training and performing machining work scopes within the assigned service level qualification. Set up and operate a wide variety of portable machine tools to perform on-site machine work at client sites. Execute field machining operations in accordance with technician certification and company procedures, achieving or exceeding quality expectations for: Pipe cutting and bevel Flange facing Drilling and tapping Milling Line boring Key-way cutting Shaft turning Metal disintegration bolt removal Attend and complete required training to maintain competence and continuously improve skills and knowledge. Identify circumstances that require proper safety procedures and equipment. Document all field machining service activities as required. Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Personal mobility to maneuver in a standard refinery or plant environment, including access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells (except when performing non-field duties). Clear speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, permitting effective communication. Good vision or other observational abilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, permitting thorough investigations. Manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, permitting routine office duties. Physical reflexes and personal mobility to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations as necessary. Ability to maintain focus, multitask, and communicate effectively. Work Conditions Position based out of a TEAM field office or client site location. Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere. Interaction with other crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel. Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels. Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection. May work at multiple job sites in a day and must tolerate climate changes. May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis. Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical school, industry, or relevant training preferred. One or more years of experience preferred. Driving license, TWIC card preferred. Compensation Anticipated compensation is $45,760 per year plus benefits. Note: Disclosure as required by HB3129 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in Illinois. TEAM reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
