Accountant

Job Title Senior Accountant Location Hackensack, NJ 07601 Duration 6+ months Payrate $62-63 per hour Responsibilities Supervises a team of administrators responsible for accounting, administration, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting services to investment companies and advisers. Acts as the escalation point for all clients assigned to the team, directing issue resolution and process changes to support client needs. Proactively identifies risk-related issues through review of qualitative and quantitative data, anticipates obstacles, and implements mitigating solutions. Reviews accounting and financial statement information provided for audit and tax reviews, documents and sets up accounting principles for unusual investment types, and sets up/ processes complex expense and incentive fee calculations and reconciliation items. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience. Five to seven years of experience in the alternative investments industry, either at a fund, an administrator, or at a Big Four / midsize public accounting firm.
