How You'll Contribute Under the general guidance of the physician/provider, perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures. Receive patients, explain the method of procedure, and ensure patient comfort. Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities. Operate ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Maintain equipment and supplies and organize work area. Keep accurate records, assist with scheduling, and ensure smooth patient flow. Check the physician's requisition for complete information on the procedure requested; refer any questions to the ultrasound physician before performing the procedure. Assist the radiologist/referring physician in invasive procedures using sterile technique while maintaining infection control guidelines. Recognize the significance of all structures visualized on the monitor and differentiate artifacts from anatomic or pathologic structures within equipment limitations. Possess in‑depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology, technical expertise, and the ability to improve standard procedures to enhance diagnostic results when needed. ARDMS or CCI registered or eligible for vascular registry and pass within one year of hire. State license to practice as a sonographer. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS).
