Job Description

This position assumes responsibility and accountability for providing nursing care for patients and their families. Expert, compassionate, individualized nursing care is expected. Collaboration with providers, staff, and other team members is essential to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The role also involves oversight of daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patient requests for services.
• Deliver patient education to facilitate care plans and promote optimal wellness.
• Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statute.
• Demonstrate competent healthcare assessment, prioritizing, and critical thinking skills.
• Handle high telephone volumes of patient requests for medications and assistance.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in procedures while adhering to patient safety guidelines.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Utilize Relationship-Based Care to advocate for patient safety and preferences.
• Model the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
