Fox Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for a Body Shop Estimator in Grand Rapids, MI! As a Body Shop Estimator, you assess vehicle damage and produce accurate repair estimates for insurance claims and customer-pay work. This role exists to set clear expectations on cost, parts, and repair approach so repairs move forward smoothly. Key responsibilities include inspecting structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage; estimating labor, parts, and refinish costs; advising repair vs. replace decisions; reviewing estimates with the body shop manager/foreman; evaluating total-loss practicality and salvage value; and completing required insurance documentation. Required qualifications/skills: - High school diploma/GED and related estimating or collision experience (or equivalent combination) - Ability to write clear, detailed estimates and communicate them professionally - I-CAR Certificate of Advanced Training and State Vehicle Inspector Certification Apply now if you can deliver consistent, defendable estimates and keep work moving.

You'll start onsite in Grand Rapids by checking the repair schedule and prioritizing vehicles waiting on approvals. Expect time split between the shop floor and your workstation-walking vehicles, taking notes and photos, then building clean documentation. You'll coordinate quick check-ins with the manager/foreman, answer questions from insurers and customers, and update files as supplements come in. The day ends with making sure open estimates are complete, organized, and ready for the next handoff.
