Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Weekdays with Some Weekends | Extension Possible

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit setting with varying acuity levels, including patients who may present as Progressive Care or Telemetry level in larger facilities
• Maintain expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 in emergency situations
• Perform IV insertions and continuous telemetry monitoring, including rhythm strip interpretation
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including some weekend shifts; weekend block schedules (Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon) may be considered

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License in West Virginia or a Compact State; pending license accepted at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year in Med/Surg or Telemetry and 2 years in a Stepdown setting preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required — must be through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry monitoring, including ability to read rhythm strips
• Must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility; candidates residing between 75–100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with Progressive Care or Telemetry-level patients in a Stepdown environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
• Ability to manage blocked weekend scheduling arrangements
