With opportunities across locations and functions, a culture grounded in our Core Four values - gratitude, communication, respect and accountability - and a strong commitment to learning, collaboration, and innovation, Smithfield offers challenging and rewarding careers where you can grow, contribute and make a real impact. **Apply Now!**## Your OpportunityThe Transload Technician works in all phases of the Trans-Load: Dealing with incoming trucks off loading and outgoing trucks once loaded, paperwork and communication with others.## Core Responsibilities* Generates schedule for departing loads to meet shipping schedule.* Studies incoming load patterns and volumes for estimating load counts.* Arranges and oversees loading and unloading of trailers and trucks.* Prepares all paperwork for incoming and outgoing loads.* Troubleshoots and expedites operations that delay schedule and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.* Responsible for complying with all environmental laws and procedures to which Murphy Farms, Inc. subscribes.* Reports all environmental issues immediately to their supervisor.* Reads and understands the company’s emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their work site.* Completes paperwork upon time of receipt.* Enters all information into computer programs.* Housekeeping: Keeps office break room and bathrooms clean, neat, and organized, keeps ramp and load area washed and free from debris.*The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
