Multi-Family Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechUnder the direction of the Maintenance Director and Property Manager, the Maintenance Tech at The Meridian North and South in Indianapolis is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes and responding to customer service requests.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance ServicesPerform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assignedAssist with maintenance of storage area and maintenance materialsPerform refurbishing and renovation of apartments per company standardsWalk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and quality of apartmentsNotify Business Manager of any safety concerns and participate in safety meetingsResponsible for knowledge of property specific problems such as asbestosAssist in snow removal as requiredPerform other duties as requiredMaintain accurate record of all tasks completed Customer ServiceComplete all service requests in accordance with company standardsAvailable for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency service requests, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week as scheduledRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredCFC Type I & II preferred, 180 days from hire to obtainValid Driver's LicenseAt least 1 year of maintenance experienceExcellent English communication skills, both verbal andAbility to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, pushingSufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessment up to the standards of a Service Technician IEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
