Learn more at careers.alight.com.** Please NOTE: Applicants must reside in the United States in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia in order to be considered for this role. ****US Citizenship requirements- as this role supports services provided to the federal government and/or a federal government contractor, proof will be required to verify US citizenship status at time of hire.**The Rolea Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud infrastructure and CI/CD capabilities supporting healthcare applications and services. hands-on expertise across Azure, AWS infrastructure automation with Terraform, YAML-based pipelines, and DevOps platforms such as Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub.ResponsibilitiesImplementing and governing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, including modules, state management, and CI enforcement.Driving compliance alignment across DevOps processes to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, and using CheckMarx, SonarQube internal security standards, focusing on access control, auditability, and PHI safeguards.Automating deployment, monitoring, and operational reliability across distributed cloud services, familiar with containerized workloads is a plus.Collaborating with security, compliance, and audit teams to support continuous monitoring, evidence gathering, and security assessments.Delivering infrastructure and application deployments during weekend release windows as required; participate in an on-call rotation.Enforcing and contributing to engineering standards, best practices, and technical design reviews.Troubleshooting and remediate complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes.Including weekend work for planned releases and on-call rotationsMonitoring, support, and troubleshootETL and data integration workflows across production, QA, and development environments to ensure smooth daily operations.Analyzingand resolve incidents, job failures, and performance issuesrelated to Informatica workflows, mappings, and SQL jobs.Owning and maintainETL components including Informatica mappings, metadata, scripts, schedules, and operational procedures. Identify opportunities to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of existing jobs/processes.Ensuring stability of data ingestion pipelinesspanning batch, nearrealtime, and realtime patterns. Finetune ETL solutions by developing a deep technical understanding of data flows and upstream/downstream dependencies.Collaborating withDBAs and Data Architectsto implement appropriate data partitioning, indexing, and optimization strategies to enhance job performance.Developing or modify SQL scripts, stored procedures, database triggers, and queries as part of incident resolution, change requests, or performance tuning.Work closely with cross functional and offshore teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues, clear communication, and adherence to support SLAs and operational guidelines.Managingmultiple concurrent support tickets, change requests, and enhancement tasks, balancing priorities based on business impact and urgency.Ensuring compliance withpublished support, development, coding, and testing standards, as well as change management practices.Requirements5+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience, with at least 3 years hands-on experience in both Azure and AWS.Demonstrate expertise with YAML-based pipelines (multi-stage, reusable templates, variable groups, environments).Proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) and GitHub/GitHub Actions for CI/CD, repository management, and pipelines governance.Proficiency abilities using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.Demonstrate expertise with Azure Cosmo DB, Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS), or GitOps tools (Argo CD, Flux).Maintain experience with observability tools such as Azure Application Insight, New Relic, Azure Monitor, CloudWatchHave certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-400Application and InterviewBy applying for a position with Alight, you understand that, should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check consistent with Alight’s employment policies.
