Posting Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Analyst - Landscape Architecture for the Department of Landscape Architecture within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Handles the GIS delineation/articulation of geographic boundaries and vegetative assemblage characteristics of the targeted site, using recently taken drone imagery. Handles the statistical analysis and graphical representation of all data sets. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Geotechnical skills and associated resource knowledge are needed for the successful completion of the McIntire grant entitled Functional Diversity Within An Urban Forest Stand. Preferred Qualifications: One year of professional experience in either the professional or academic venues. Experience in developing pixels curvature using the curvature function and classifying vegetation assemblages in dynamic equilibrium. Experience in the use of Orthoimagery to support the hyperspectral image classification and percent vegetation cover analysis.
