Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team and support the Controller in managing the financial operations at Alliance Exterior Solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants hands‑on experience with construction-specific accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, and progress billing. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, and assist with month-end and year-end close processes Help maintain job cost ledgers and track project costs against budgets Assist in preparing Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules and percentage-of-completion calculations Assist with processing accounts payable, including subcontractor and vendor invoices, lien waivers, and payment applications Assist with accounts receivable Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts Assist with sales/use tax filings and other regulatory reporting Support the Controller in preparing financial statements and internal management reports Assist with audits and insurance renewals Maintain accurate, organized documentation to support internal controls and audit readiness Utilize Sage 100 Contractor, Foundation and other systems to manage job cost records, AP/AR, and reporting Perform other accounting duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of accounting experience; construction industry experience strongly preferred Familiarity with job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; hands‑on experience with Sage 100 Contractor (or similar Sage construction accounting platform) strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a deadline-driven close process Solid written and verbal communication skills for working with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors What We Offer Competitive salary, commensurate with experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
