Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every other weekend and holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Neuro ICU treating neurological diseases and disorders including seizures and strokes within a comprehensive stroke center
• Care for overflow ICU patients from Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU as needed
• Read and interpret cardiac strips as part of ongoing patient monitoring and assessment
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Float within the assigned hospital or to nearby campuses (within approximately 10–15 miles) based on census and skill set, at the facility's discretion
• Complete required lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of contract signing

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (any active state license or compact license accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and/or 2 years of comprehensive stroke center experience in a large hospital setting with some Neuro experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a large, high-volume acute care hospital environment
• Comfort with floating to multiple units or campuses based on patient census and clinical skill set
• Familiarity with overflow ICU patient populations including Medical Surgical and Heart and Vascular
