About This Role

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate lead toddler teacher to join our team. In this role, you will develop and implement curricula that cater to the diverse needs of toddlers. Key responsibilities include tracking student progress, ensuring a safe learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to drive the school's objectives. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, able to manage classroom operations, and maintain open communication with parents and staff. A strong understanding of early childhood development and research is essential. As a lead toddler teacher, you will be responsible for building a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and overseeing daily classroom activities.

What You'll Do

• Develop engaging activities based on developmental standards and early learning principles to promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
• Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment by ensuring hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
• Model effective communication and leadership skills, guiding teacher assistants and resolving parental concerns with empathy and professionalism.
• Foster open communication with parents through regular updates, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they follow planned activities and adhere to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records, forms, and files, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing administrative tasks.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education, applying this knowledge to improve teaching methods and achieve exceptional results.

Requirements

• Must clear full background check and pass health screening.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE or CDA or better.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Must have Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• A specific vision ability will be required including the ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
