Chief Executive Officer

The client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a dynamic cultural nonprofit at a pivotal point in its evolution. The organization’s work transforms public spaces through art, design, and collaboration, bringing together community voices and civic partners to create vibrant, inclusive places. The CEO will build on a strong foundation, including trusted reputation, a nationally recognized portfolio of projects, and sound financial management, while shaping long-term direction through a new strategic plan that advances mission impact, deepens community engagement, and expands regional and broader influence. The Chief Executive Officer will partner with the Board, staff, and community collaborators to develop long- and short-range strategies. As the primary spokesperson, the CEO will communicate the organization’s vision, mission, and impact with authenticity and clarity. The role also includes leading a cohesive leadership team and staff, supporting professional development, and ensuring effective execution across the organization. Key priorities include demonstrating strong annual budget leadership, maintaining financial policies and procedures that comply with relevant regulations and guidelines, and overseeing organizational change with operational and financial discipline. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, visionary leader with a proven ability to refine overarching vision into actionable strategies. They will also bring experience translating mission into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, a strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and a genuine passion for public art, design, placemaking, and cultural expression that strengthens social connections and community well-being.
