Senior Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Bayhealth Medical Center is Central and Southern Delaware's healthcare leader with hospitals in Dover and Milford, as well as stand-alone Emergency Department in Smyrna and a hybrid Emergency Department and Urgent Care in Milton. We offer various practice settings throughout Kent and Sussex Counties. Bayhealth Medical Center Kent Campus is 90 minutes from Philadelphia, Washington, DC and Baltimore. Our Sussex Campus is 30 minutes to the Delaware beaches and relaxation in the sand!

Location: Kent Campus Hospital

Status: Full Time 80 Hours

Shift: Variable

SALARY RANGE: 105,872.00 - 164,091.20 YEARLY

General Summary:

Nurse Managers are responsible for the management of one or more defined areas of nursing service. Nurse Managers allocate resources to promote efficient, safe and high quality care based on the professional standards and scopes of nursing practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Demonstrates competency in the ANA Nurse Administrator Standards of Practices and professional performances. 2. Attains patient satisfaction and quality measures goals. 3. Demonstrates nursing leadership by role modeling professional behavior; exercising core values and practicing innovation. 4. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree Nursing; Will accept a bachelor degree in another discipline if candidate holds a MSN.
  • Credential(s): Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support; Certification related to the position, if applicable.
  • Experience: Required: Five (5) years of nursing experience; previous leadership roles as a preceptor/ clinical coordinator. Preferred: Previous Manager of Emergency Department.

Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:

  • Education: Master Degree Nursing; Master Degree Business Administration; Master Degree Health Administration
  • Credential(s): Nurse Executive - Board Certified; Nurse Executive Advanced - Board Certified; Certified Nurse Manager and Leader
