Job Description Job Description Job description: Overview We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy equipment operation and a strong understanding of materials handling processes. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility, contributing to our overall operational success. Duties Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials and products throughout the distribution center. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory and manage stock levels accurately. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations. Assist in building pallets and preparing shipments for delivery. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient work environment. Execute heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Requirements Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with forklifts. Familiarity with distribution center operations and materials handling practices. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently. Experience with shipping and receiving processes is preferred. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
