What You’ll Do: Provide OB hospitalist coverage on Labor & Delivery units, managing both low and high-risk pregnancies Support OB/GYN procedures including VBACs, C-sections, and emergency deliveries Collaborate with OB residents, nursing staff, and midwives to ensure quality patient care Perform fetal heart rate monitoring, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic procedures Assist with routine and complex obstetric deliveries, including operative vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR system (EPIC) Respond to obstetric emergencies promptly and effectively What You Need: Required: Medical license in Ohio or eligible for licensure Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology Experience in hospitalist OB care, managing high and low-risk pregnancies Proficiency in fetal monitoring, OB procedures, and ultrasound interpretation Preferred: Prior locum or hospitalist OB experience Familiarity with EPIC EMR system About the Assignment: This OB Hospitalist role is based at Bon Secours - Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, a teaching hospital with Level III nursery and Level IV L&D services. You will work alongside OB residents and experienced nursing staff, providing comprehensive obstetric care for a diverse patient population, including high-risk cases.
