High Mountain Hardware, Inc. is a family-owned manufacturer and distributor of commercial doors, frames, and hardware, proudly serving the industry for nearly 60 years. We are currently seeking a detail‐oriented, customer‐focused Estimator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Assessment :
   • Evaluate project requirements by carefully analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
   • Identify material costs and necessary resources.
2. Collaboration :
   • Work closely with contractors during the estimation process to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and refine estimates.
3. Estimation and Presentation :
   • Prepare detailed estimates, considering all aspects of the project.
   • Present estimates to clients professionally and promptly.
4. Cost Optimization :
   • Suggest cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.
   • Balance budget constraints with project needs.
5. Documentation :
   • Maintain meticulous records of all project-related information.

Requirements:

• Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for accurate calculations and documentation.
  • Previous on-the-job training is advantageous.
• Collaborative Mindset :
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Analytical Abilities :
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Time Management :
  • Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines.

Experience & Other Requirements

• Experience in the commercial door, frame, and hardware industry is required
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
• Comfortable with extended computer work
• Moderate computer proficiency: experience with Software for Hardware or Comsense is a plus
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000 - $75,000
